Dr. Joshua Conner joined Family Eyecare Center in December of 2016 as a residency trained optometrist. Originally from Grand Island, he received his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry, located in Bloomington, IN. He attended Doane University for his undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry where he also ran track.
Dr. Conner completed a 13-month, post-doctoral training in ocular disease with Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers in Louisville, KY; where he became extremely proficient in the management of dry eye, glaucoma, diabetes, and many other ocular conditions. While completing his degree at Indiana University School of Optometry, Dr. Conner completed externships in both the United States and Mexico. He is proficient in performing eye exams in Spanish. During his external rotations, he received additional training in the areas of primary care and ocular disease at Affut Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX and Clinica Optometrica in Guanajuato, Mexico. Joshua is a member of the Grand Island Lions Club, the American Optometric Association and Nebraska Optometric Association.
Dr. Conner and his wife Dr. Lynda Conner have two children, Kennedy and Jackson. After the birth of their second child in 2014, they decided to move back to Nebraska. He and Lynda attend Third City Christian Church. In his spare time, Dr. Conner enjoys landscaping and spending time with friends and family.
